Composite and granite sink brands — including Karran, Franke, Blanco, Schock and others — are popular in UK kitchens for their durability and contemporary appearance. But like all sink materials, they are not immune to chipping and cracking, particularly around the bowl rim, the drain area and the corners. On-site professional repair can restore composite sinks to near-new condition.
Karran Sink Repair
Karran is known for its seamless undermount quartz composite sinks. The material is dense and chip-resistant but not chip-proof — impacts from cast iron cookware or heavy utensils can cause chips at the bowl rim or basin lip. Karran sinks are repairable using colour-matched composite resin, and our technicians match the textured finish as well as the colour.
Franke Composite Sink Repair
Franke’s composite granite sinks (Tectonite, Fragranite) are made from a mix of granite particles and acrylic resin. They are highly durable but can chip from sharp impacts. Chips on Franke composite sinks typically appear at the rim edge or the bottom corner of the basin. We colour-match our repair compounds to Franke’s colour range including Onyx, Oyster, Fragranite Black, Coffee and Sahara.
Blanco and Schock Composite Repairs
Blanco Silgranit and Schock composite sinks can be repaired on the same basis. The SILGRANIT material is very dense and chip repairs on these sinks achieve excellent results. We carry a wide range of composite pigments to match the various Blanco and Schock colour offerings.
