This is a professional process — attempting it without experience typically leaves visible sanding marks or sheen inconsistency.
Burn and Chip Repair
Deep burns and chips require filling with a compatible solid surface adhesive or filler, colour-matched to the worktop, before sanding and finishing. On plain or near-plain colours this is typically very effective. On patterned or marbled designs, colour-matching is more complex and results vary.
Seam Repair
Failed or visible seams in solid surface worktops can be re-bonded and refinished by a specialist. The joint is cleaned out, re-adhered with the correct solid surface adhesive, and sanded flush and blended — resulting in a seam that should once again be virtually invisible.
