Caesarstone is one of the most recognised quartz worktop brands in the UK, originally from Israel and now used globally. Like all quartz surfaces, Caesarstone worktops can chip, crack or sustain surface damage — and professional repair restores the worktop without the need for costly replacement.
About Caesarstone Quartz
Caesarstone is composed of approximately 93% quartz aggregate in a polymer resin binder. The range includes solid colours, textured surfaces, veined designs and ultra-compact options. Caesarstone surfaces are available in polished and honed finishes, each requiring a different repair approach for the final finish matching.
Common Caesarstone Damage Types
Chips
The most common repair request. Chips at the front edge, corners and sink cutout. Caesarstone chips cleanly in most cases — the fracture exposes the quartz interior beneath the polished surface. These chips are repaired using colour-matched stone compound and polished to match the surrounding surface finish.
Thermal Discolouration
Placing very hot pans directly on Caesarstone can cause localised thermal stress — sometimes visible as a discoloured, slightly rough patch on the surface. Light thermal discolouration may respond to polishing; deeper heat damage requires filled repair and refinishing.
Cracks
Hairline cracks in Caesarstone — typically from structural movement of the cabinet beneath, inadequate bridging support across hob cutouts, or point loading from sitting/standing on the worktop — can be injected with compatible resin and filled. The crack is sealed and colour-matched to reduce visibility.
