Bathroom Splashback Repair: Glass, Tile and Acrylic Splashbacks

Bathroom splashbacks — whether glass, tile or acrylic panel — can crack, chip or discolour over time. Replacing a full splashback involves removing fixings, sourcing matching materials and redecorating around it. In many cases, the damage is cosmetic and can be repaired on-site at a fraction of the replacement cost.

Glass Splashback Repair

Toughened glass splashbacks are popular in modern bathrooms. They can chip at edges or corners, or develop hairline cracks from point impacts. Small edge chips can be polished smooth. Cracks are more complex — the repair outcome depends on the size and location of the crack, and we will advise honestly on whether repair or replacement is the better option after assessing the damage.

Tile Splashback Repair

Individual tile chips are among the most common splashback repairs. Our technicians colour-match a resin compound to the tile, fill and shape the chip, then polish the repair to the surrounding glaze finish. For discontinued tile ranges where replacement isn’t possible, repair is the only viable option.

Acrylic and PVC Panel Splashback Repair

Acrylic splashback panels — common in bathrooms and shower enclosures — can scratch, craze or chip. Surface scratches on acrylic can often be polished out. Deeper chips can be filled and colour-matched. We also repair discolouration and surface crazing on aged acrylic panels.

Mastic and Sealant Around Splashbacks

Failing or discoloured mastic sealant around splashback edges is one of the most common maintenance issues in bathrooms. We can remove old sealant and apply fresh mastic to bathroom-grade standards as part of a wider bathroom repair visit.
