Caesarstone is one of the world’s most recognised quartz worktop brands — widely used in UK kitchens for its durability, range of colours and consistent finish. Despite being marketed as scratch and chip resistant, Caesarstone and other engineered quartz surfaces can chip, crack and sustain damage. This guide covers professional repair options specific to Caesarstone and similar quartz products.
Why Caesarstone Can Still Chip
Engineered quartz is harder than granite on the Mohs scale, but hardness doesn’t mean impact resistance. Quartz is brittle — it resists scratches well but is vulnerable to sharp impacts, particularly at edges, corners and near hob and sink cutouts where the geometry creates stress points. Dropping a heavy pan, a can or a tool on an edge can cause chips in even premium quartz surfaces.
Caesarstone Chip Repair
Professional chip repair on Caesarstone involves removing any loose fragments, preparing the surface of the void, applying specialist stone repair compound, and colour-matching and finishing to blend with the surrounding quartz pattern and sheen. Caesarstone’s range includes some very distinctive patterns — particularly the marble-effect Supernatural series — and colour-matching requires the right pigment blends and pattern replication skills.
Caesarstone Crack Repair
Hairline cracks in Caesarstone are less common than chips but do occur, particularly near hob cutouts and sink cutouts where heat or mechanical stress concentrate. Surface cracks can be injected and filled; structural cracks (all the way through the slab) are more serious and require assessment before repair can be quoted.
Does Caesarstone Have a Warranty?
Caesarstone offers a manufacturer’s warranty but this generally doesn’t cover accidental damage — chips from impact aren’t typically a warranty claim. Professional repair is the practical route for impact damage.
Other Quartz Brands We Repair
We repair all engineered quartz brands including Silestone, Compac, Dekton (ultra-compact), Quartz Master, Quantum Quartz and own-brand quartz supplied by kitchen retailers. The repair process is similar across brands.
